The SURMA & PARKS 15 days
01. SAT. Arrival in Addis Ababa. Then drive to Jimma, crossing the famous coffee region, the Kaffa region. Lunch on the way; dinner & ON hotel
02. Drive to Gambela. The town of Gambela is the regional town of the Gambela peoples, where different tribes live together such as Anuak , Nuer and more.

03. Drive to the Baro river (which was a very important navigable river for commerce between Ethiopia & Sudan in the 19th century) and visit different villages of the Nuer and Anuak people. They are very colorful and you can see men and women with different scarifications, paintings and ornaments all over their body. See their day life in the villages and families. Late afternoon drive back to Gambela.

04. Proceed to Mizanteferi, admiring coffee region, forest and the Dizi people.

05. Drive to the Surma people. For beauty women wear circular or trapezoidal shaped plates into their lips. Men have different scarification all over their body.

06. Drive to Kibish, for the Surma villages. With luck we’ll participate to a donga game, which is a stick fighting ritual. Visit their way of life & culture.

07. Full day for walking to Surma villages. ON camping.
08. Proceed for the Nyangatom people and villages. Are very interesting tribe, known for their scarifications and ornaments. Lunch on the way; dinner & ON camping
09. Proceed to the Omo National park, home of numerous animals, with luck to spot elephants, buffaloes, hartebeest, and more. Game drive.

10. Early morning remaining game drive. Then drive to Maji, visiting on the way the Dizi people. Lunch on the way; dinner & ON camp at Maji
11. Proceed to Jima, via Wacha Waji road. Visit Bench & Meshenger people on the way. If time permits visit the Aba Jifar palace and the museum.

12. Drive to Cheberra Churchurra National park. Afternoon game drive. Visit animals as buffaloes, hartbeest, elephants and more. Lunch on the way; dinner & ON camping
13. Morning have your game drive. Visiting on the way the Oromo & Guraghe people, with very interesting culture, drive to visit one Guraghe village, famous for their production of their traditional bread, the Kotcho, produced by the roots of the Ensete, the false banana tree. Have camping near to a Guraghe people village, to enjoy their culture and friendship.

14. Have further visits of the Guraghe village. Then walk back to your vehicles.
Drive then to Woliso town (called also Ghion) and proceed to Negash lodge, where you can relax in a beautiful nature and can enjoy also the swimming pool.

15. SAT. Drive to Wonchi crater, for spectacular views over the lake down to the crater. Optional can visit also the church on the island. Then back to Addis Ababa. Have a free afternoon in Addis for the Merkato (biggest open air market in Africa), souvenir shop & if not visited previously, visit also the National and Ethnographic museums (if time permits). Lunch on the way. Dinner in traditional restaurant with folkloristic dances. After dinner transfer to the airport for departure.
