OMO VALLEY 15 days
01. SAT. Arrival in Addis Ababa. Start your tour south. Visit the DebreZeith crater lakes and then proceed to Zway Rift Valley lake. Here spot many birds and visit the new wine cellar of the Castle winery. Afternoon proceed to the Rift Valley lakes of Langano & Awasa.
Lunch in Zway; dinner & ON Awasa in hotel (Haile Resort or Lewi).
02. Early morning visit the fish market. Have then breakfast & proceed to the Bale mountains National park. Afternoon drive to the Sanete plateau, for its unique Afro-alpine vegetation. Spot different animals, among which the endemic Semien Red Fox.

03. Drive to the Tuludimtu forest and spot animals as the endemic Mountain Nyala. In the afternoon continue your drive to Neghele, visiting Oromo people & villages.

04. Drive to ElSod crater where Borena men extract salt from a marshy lake by hand & sticks. The salt is used for their cattle. Visit then the singing wells where the Borena men pass to each other the water and doing this hard work they sing. Visit also a Borena people village.

05. Drive to the Konso people region & visit some villages to understand their culture and way of life, famous for their terracing agriculture and traditions. Walks and easy hiking can be optionally done between the villages. Meals & ON hotel in Konso
06. THU. Drive to Jinka, admiring on the way the Derase, Tsemay, Ari & Bena people, as well very nice views. Being Thursday visit the very colorful market of the Tsemay and Erbore people at KeyAfer village. And if time permits visit also the ethnographic museum in Jinka.

07. Early morning drive to the Mago National park: spotting mammals & birds, proceed to the Mursi people and their villages. Here for beauty women use to put round plates into their lips while men have different scarifications all over their body. Later drive back to Jinka and proceed to Turmi, region of the beautiful Hamer people.

08. SAT. Morning visit the Hamer people & then drive to Dimeka village to admire the very colorful Hamer, Tsemay & Karo people market. Afternoon with luck we’ll try to visit a Hamer marriage ceremony, with activities as the bull jumping; and in the evening the Evangadi dance.

09. Morning drive to the Nyangatom people crossing the Omo river with small boats at Kangate. Walk to the villages & visit this other very interesting tribe of the Omo. Then back to Kangate, meet the vehicles and drive about 1 hr to visit the Karo people, for their very interesting decoration, scarification all over their body and culture. From Kortcho village you’ll enjoy also a spectacular view over the Omo river. Late afternoon drive back to Turmi.

10. MON. Morning drive to Omorate, at bank of Omo river, to visit the Dassanech people and their villages. Then back to Turmi village to admire the very colorful Hamer, Karo and Dassanech people market. Afternoon free for the Hamer people & villages. Meals & ON Evangadi lodge Turmi.
11. Drive to Erbore to visit their villages and culture; are another very interesting tribe of the Omo valley. Then proceed to the Weyto valley and to Arbaminch.
Lunch on the way, dinner & ON Arbaminch Swaynes hotel, with spectacular view over Chamo & Abaya Rift Valley lakes, the Netch Sar National park and the forty springs (from which the name Arbaminch derives).
12. Morning make a boat excursion on Chamo lake to admire the biggest crocodiles in Africa (reach 6 meters of length), hippos and birds. Cross then the lake by boat and then walk to the Netch Sar National park, escorted by your scouts. You’ll admire spectacular views from the mountain called "Yesghier Dildi" (in amharic "the bridge of God") viewing Chamo and Abaya lakes on the 2 side and the Netch Sar National park (in amharic "white grass") white grasses valley on the other side and the forty springs on the other. Spot animals as zebras, Swaynes hartebeest, lesser kudu, dik-dik and many birds. Your vehicles will then reach you in the park and late afternoon you’ll drive back to your hotel.

13. THU. Drive to Chencha mountains to visit the Dorze people, with their unique culture, houses and traditions. Are famous for their elephant trunk shape houses and their cultivation of the false banana, from which root their extract the Kotcho, which is their traditional bread. Being Thursday visit the colorful Dorze people market at Chencha village. Optional you can also make an excursion walking for 4-5 hours at Maze mountains, visiting Dorze villages & amazing views.
Late afternoon drive back to Arbaminch.

14. Drive to the Wolayta people and then proceed to the Ajura falls, for very nice views. Continue to visit one Guraghe village, famous for their production of their traditional bread, the Kotcho, produced by the roots of the Ensete, the false banana tree. Proceed finally to the Negash lodge, where you can relax in a beautiful nature and can enjoy also the swimming pool.

15. SAT. Drive to the Wonchi crater lake, for spectacular views. Optional you can visit also the church on the island. Then drive back to Addis Ababa. Afternoon visit the Merkato (biggest open air market in Africa), souvenir shops & if not visited previously, also the National and Ethnographic museums (if time permits).
Lunch on the way. transen porn Dinner invited by the Green Land Tours in traditional restaurant with folkloristic dances. After dinner transfer to the airport for departure.
